Week Ahead: December 2-6, 2019

November was a strong month for the market finishing up 3.63% which brought the YTD total to 27.63%. The question remains if can we hold it through the end of the year. We have a slate of economic data releases to kick off December. The all-in important jobs report will be released on Friday. Expectations are for an increase of 195,000 vs the 128,000 added last month. We will also get the November PMI readings. Economists are expecting a rebound to 49.5 after hitting a decade low last month. Earnings are continuing to wind down but we will get a look at some more retailers this week as high end (Tiffany’s) and low end (Dollar General) both reports.
